Summer Student - Data Management & Analytics (Enforcement)

Job Summary

This role supports divisional modernization initiatives by enhancing the quality, consistency, and usability of internal data assets. Working closely with stakeholders across the division, the position helps identify operational requirements, improve data practices, and support standardized approaches to data management.

Duties and Responsibilities

•    Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand data requirements and support business unit needs.
•    Lead and coordinate data testing, issue tracking, communications, and continuous improvement activities.
•    Perform data mining, validation, cleansing, and quality assurance tasks to support program enhancements.
•    Develop data entry guides, job aids, and other supporting materials to assist with deployment of system changes, where applicable.
•    Contribute to modernization initiatives through data-driven insights and operational improvements.

Skills and Qualifications

•    Enrolled in a recognized community college program in public administration, business administration, policy studies, or a related field.
•    Experience with data mining, validation, cleansing, or related analytical techniques.
•    Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills.
•    Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources and communicate findings clearly.
•    Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with technical and non‑technical teams.

Hourly Rate/Salary: 20.29 - 24.11

Work Location: 950 Burnhamthorpe Road West, Mississauga
Work Model : This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring employees to be onsite in the office 3 days per week and allowing remote work for the remaining days. Specific in-office days may be set by the team or department to support collaboration and business needs.
