We provide an inclusive camp experience where camp personnel will be required to work with participants with different needs including children with disabilities, children with behaviour challenges, newcomers, and language barriers. You will make a difference in your community and will leave a lasting impression on the children and youth who attend the camps.

  • Meadowvale CC (Glen Erin Drive & Battleford Road)

Employees can be assigned to any location within Mississauga or re-deployed to various locations, shifts and/or assigned a variety of job responsibilities on a day-to-day basis.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • The successful candidate must possess a valid Emergency First Aid and CPR B or Standard First Aid and CPR C (Lifesaving Society, Canadian Red Cross Society,  St. John’s Ambulance or the Canadian Ski Patrol) certification (must be recognized by WSIB) by May 1, 2025. The award must be current during the employment period.
  • The successful candidate must possess a valid HIGH FIVE ® Principles of Healthy Child Development certification by May 1, 2025.
  • Previous experience working with children is an asset.
  • A Level 3 - Vulnerable Sector Check will be required of the successful candidate, as a condition of employment, at their own expense, to verify the absence of a criminal record for which a pardon has not been granted.

Additional Information

  • The duties and responsibilities of the Camp positions are reflected in the hourly rate of pay range of $18.23 - $25.60 dependent on the specific position.
  • Staff will be paid minimum wage on an hourly basis for attending required trainings or meetings.

 
Employment Period varies based on position. Summer Camps run from June 30th to August 29th 2025.
Interviews will be held end of March, beginning of April 2025

 

Please note: Full-time hours are not guaranteed. Hours are dependent on sufficient program registration.

 

This is a continuous hiring campaign for 2025 summer camps. Placements can occur on an ongoing basis prior to the start of summer camp programs. You can be contacted up until May 16th, 2025. If you have questions regarding placement timelines, please reach out to cp.hiring@mississauga.ca
 

In person interviews will be held in late March, beginning of April. Qualified candidates selected for interviews will be emailed (to the email on your application profile) prior to this date to schedule an interview. Additional interview dates will be held for qualified candidates ongoing to fill all vacancies.
 

Mandatory Staff Training will be held prior to the start of Camps. Summer camp training will be taking place from Tuesday May 20th to Friday May 23rd, 2025. All successful candidates must attend all scheduled training dates.

Additional training dates will be held during the month of June for all camp staff which are mandatory for successful supervisory staff.
