Job Summary

Responsible to provide technical, and functional expertise and solutions in areas of technology, processes, and operating procedures for SAP Payroll and Time Management. Responsible for the integrity of electronic data, systems, processes, and policies. Act as a subject matter expert and support and troubleshoot City's SAP HR systems and processes.

Duties and Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Manager, SAP HCM - IT, the successful candidate will:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to document business requirements and implement SAP solutions.
  • Design, configure, develop, test, and implement SAP Payroll and Time Management in the City's S4 and SFsystems and solutions using best practices and standards for SAP.
  • Provide ongoing support including analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving production issues.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and optimizations within SAP and SuccessFactors Payrolland Time Management / Tracking domains.
  • Maintain the system and operational integrity including ensuring compliance with local regulations andcompany policies of solutions / applications related to SAP Payroll and Time Management, SuccessFactors,and Fiori.
  • Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, process flows, specifications for developersand test plans.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to confirm solution meets the business needs, conforms tospecifications while ensuring program, module, and system integrity.
  • Support business stakeholders during the user acceptance testing process.
  • Be responsible for Support Package updates by reviewing and identifying relevant SAP notes to be applied,completing required end-to-end testing, and ensuring that the updates are accurately applied.
  • Provide functional expertise for projects / systems that integrate with SAP Payroll and Time Managementmodules, SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll and Time Tracking.
  • Develop and deliver end-user training materials and sessions to ensure successful adoption of the newprocesses and systems.
  • Develop and deliver knowledge transfer sessions with other functional and technical team members.
  • Maintain and upgrade skills in relation to current and new technology.
  • Work in a collaborative team environment with multiple stakeholders including functional specialists, ABAPdevelopers, business users, vendors, consultants.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in the field of Human Resources Management, IT, Business or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the implementation, configurations, and support of SAP Payroll, Pensionand Time Management and / or SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll, SuccessFactors Time Trackingfunctional modules including personnel calculation rules, schema rules, Collective Agreements (unions),wage types,
  • CATS, Time Recording, Time Evaluation and ESS-MSS/Fiori Apps, as well as Hands-onexperience of SAP Payroll and Time configuration and production support at Level-3 (Tier 3).
  • SAP Certification in HCM Payroll or SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll is required.
  • Hands-on experience in SAP Payroll and Time Schema Configurations and Troubleshooting is required.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in troubleshooting end-to-end payroll, pension and time managementprocesses including calculations, DME, configuration and integration with Finance and third-party vendors,SAP Off-Cycle Workbench, pension calculations, payroll taxation and year-end processing.
  • Experience in testing SAP support packs (SPs) and supporting year-end processes.
  • Experience in integrations with SAP modules and other third-party applications (Staff scheduling applications,Insurer administered Benefits systems, Work management systems etc.).
  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors modules including Employee Central and Employee Central Payrollwould be strongly preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills along with strong decision-making, organizational,interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills to convey concepts / solutions to both technicaland non-technical staff.
  • Strong understanding of technology and business processes with the ability to integrate functional andtechnical views.
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment and maintain confidentiality of information.

Hourly Rate/Salary: $ 91,701.00 - $ 122,268.00
