Job Summary
Assist in the overall operation of the City’s public marinas, ensuring compliance to all relevant Corporate Policies and Procedures, By-laws, expectations and mandates, enforcement of fees and charges and harbor rule. This position requires a high level of customer service to our boaters and park users. There is a high level of business accountability with a strong knowledge of marina assets and industry standards and trends required.
Employment Period: April 1, 2026 up to October 31, 2026 and one position will be from April 1, 2026 up to December 23, 2026.
Employees can be assigned to any one of the Marinas location or re-deployed to any shift depending onthe business operations needs.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Direct responsibility for marina staff, providing oversight for corporate policy compliance, marina mandates and functions, day to day operation of the marina, staff direction, cash handling, marina business processes, training and supervision of concessions staff.
- Record keeping of all marina functions and activities during the day, Update e mails with regards to business, boater, public correspondence, compliance of all corporate mandates (e.g. cash handling)
- Direct responsibility for marina operations as it pertains to maintenance, boater and public correspondence, customer service and business needs, health and safety adherence, fuel dock operations, grounds maintenance, building cleanliness (e.g. washroom cleaning).
- Responsible for marina policies and procedures and applicable By-laws pertaining to the application of fees and charges, enforcement of harbor rules and regulations, food and beverage, licensed patio operations, transient or tourist boater check-in procedures.
- Direct responsibility for marina operations as it pertains to maintenance, boater and public correspondence, customer service and business needs, health and safety adherence, fuel dock operations, grounds maintenance, building cleanliness (e.g. washroom cleaning).
Skills and Qualifications
- Background in the Marina industry
- Knowledge of City of Mississauga corporate policies and procedures
- Experience with computer applications (ActiveNet & POS modules, Microsoft Office applications)
- Knowledge of Parks and Marina By-laws, applicable Fees and Charges By-laws
- “Clean Marine” environmental knowledge
- Moderate sensory, physical and working conditions (pulling & tying up boats)
- Exposure to fuel smells. Primarily marina environment.
Hourly Rate/Salary: 20.98 - 25.60

Hours of Work: up to 35-40hrs/week
