Duties and Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize all dishes, glassware, flatware, and kitchen equipment to maintain optimal operating condition.

  • Operate dishwashing equipment and perform deep cleaning of kitchen appliances, including stoves, ovens, vent hoods, deep fryers, charbroilers, and walk-in refrigerators/freezers.

  • Assist the Chef in maintaining inventory levels of kitchen service equipment and supplies.

  • Prepare warming carts for plated meal service and assist in plating food for banquet functions.

  • Receive, unpack, and store kitchen deliveries in designated storage areas.

  • Monitor and replenish kitchen cleaning supplies as needed.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen in compliance with health and safety standards.

  • Perform all duties with professionalism and a commitment to service excellence.

  • Carry out additional duties as assigned to support the Food Services team.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a dishwasher in a restaurant or catering kitchen is required.

  • Emergency First Aid/CPR “B” Certification is required (or must be obtained within 6 months of hire).

  • Knowledge of WHMIS and Occupational Health & Safety standards.

  • Possession of a valid driver’s license is considered an asset.

  • Flexibility to work across various locations including BraeBen Golf Course, C Food Services, Living Arts Centre, Marina, and Lakeview Golf Course.

  • Availability to work varied shifts, including weekdays, weekends, holidays, early mornings, and evenings.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Hourly Rate/Salary: 18.23 - 21.71 (also entitled to a share of the gratuities for catering events)
Hours of Work: up to 40 hours a week
Work Location: various locations within the City
