Job Summary
The City of Mississauga is seeking a highly skilled Infor Technical Lead to manage and deliver Infor Public Sector (IPS) related projects and operational work requests. This role is pivotal in leading the full project lifecycle, from initiation to completion, while providing strategic expertise to shape the long-term roadmap for Infor solutions. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and IT teams to ensure high-quality service delivery, system stability, and innovative solutions that meet business needs.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead Infor Public Sector projects through initiation, execution, procurement, and completion, adhering to PMI methodologies (Stakeholder Management, Risk Management, Scope Management, etc.). Conduct steering committees, manage vendor activities, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget while maintaining corporate policies and client relationships.
- Collaborate with business units, vendors, and IT staff to gather and document business/functional requirements. Develop prototypes, configure Infor systems, create test plans, and resolve issues to meet business needs.
- Work with the IPS team, stakeholders, and vendors to manage ongoing system support, resolve issues, and ensure production environment stability. Monitor Infor components and servers to proactively address performance concerns.
- Support stakeholders in developing business cases, create prototypes, and recommend system enhancements to improve business processes and align with IT simplification strategies.
- Demo Infor Public Sector capabilities to business units, showcasing solutions to address immediate and long-term needs.
- Guide the Infor team to complete annual upgrades and monthly software release tight deadlines with minimal production interruptions.
- Ensure production readiness for 24X7 operations.
Skills and Qualifications
Education & Certifications
- University degree or Post-secondary education in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in an IT environment.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification by the Project Management Institute (PMI) is an asset.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of integration protocols (APIs, REST, endpoints, ODBC, etc.) to evaluate solutions and assess risks.
- Ability to configure and maintain Infor applications, including Infor Field Inspector (IFI) and other mobile applications.
- Experience in architecting IT infrastructure for high availability, disaster recovery and cloud solutions, including scripting (e.g., PowerShell) for system maintenance.
Experience
- Demonstrated experience as an IT project leader managing the full project lifecycle, including stakeholder management, project charters, risk management, and quality assurance.
- Proficiency in MS Project and MS Visio.
- Experience in developing, testing, implementing, integrating, and supporting in-house and off-the-shelf applications.
- Preferred experience with MS SQL, web-based application development, Microsoft .NET, Visual Studio .NET, Visual Basic .NET, and Mobile/Cloud application implementations.
- Experience with enterprise application portfolios with clients across multiple business unites.
- Practical knowledge of service request (CRM), work order management, and asset inspection and management systems, preferred with Infor Public Sector (Hansen) applications or any similar enterprise applications (i.e. City Works, Maximo… etc.)
- Strong tact, diplomacy, influencing, negotiation, and collaboration skills to work with diverse stakeholders and drive project success.
- Excellent written, verbal, listening, and presentation skills to convey project updates, technical requirements, and business solutions to project teams, vendors, leadership, and clients.
- Ability to address complex issues, design innovative solutions, and perform in-depth risk assessments to ensure uninterrupted business operations.
- Awareness of internal/external business environments, City priorities, and information security trends to align solutions with organizational goals.
Hourly Rate/Salary: $ 97,831.00 - $ 130,442.00
