Job Summary
Part-time opportunity to provide administrative support within the Prosecution Unit of Legal Services.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Sort and file hard copy Prosecution Briefs
- Sort and file hard copy correspondence and documents into Prosecution Briefs
- Scan completed Prosecution Briefs into CAMS
- Trial date data entry into CAMS
- Upload Part III digital files to CAMS
- Upload documents into digital files in CAMS
- Use ICON and CAMS to respond to inquiries from the public
- Assist Legal Assistants with docket preparation
- Attend Customer Service window
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum Grade 12 education
- Minimum two years administrative/legal work experience
- Familiar with office procedures and practices
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Solid keyboarding skills
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites
- Knowledge of ICON and CAMS is an asset
- Excellent customer service skills is essential
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, police, public and the legal profession
Hourly Rate/Salary: $ 25.28 - $ 33.70
Hours of Work: 17.5
