Job Summary

Part-time opportunity to provide administrative support within the Prosecution Unit of Legal Services.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Sort and file hard copy Prosecution Briefs
  • Sort and file hard copy correspondence and documents into Prosecution Briefs
  • Scan completed Prosecution Briefs into CAMS
  • Trial date data entry into CAMS
  • Upload Part III digital files to CAMS
  • Upload documents into digital files in CAMS
  • Use ICON and CAMS to respond to inquiries from the public
  • Assist Legal Assistants with docket preparation
  • Attend Customer Service window

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum Grade 12 education
  • Minimum two years administrative/legal work experience
  • Familiar with office procedures and practices
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Solid keyboarding skills
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites
  • Knowledge of ICON and CAMS is an asset
  • Excellent customer service skills is essential
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, police, public and the legal profession

Hourly Rate/Salary: $ 25.28 - $ 33.70
Hours of Work: 17.5
