Job Summary
Supports the Facilities Maintenance Manager and Supervisors with day to day operational, administrative, and project based activities. This role provides hands on experience in facilities operations and maintenance. It may include asset management, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist the Facilities Maintenance team with day to day operational and administrative activities, that may include any but not restricted to the following:
• Support site inspections and customer visits.
• Assist with data entry, filing, document control, and general administrative duties.
• Review and validate asset data within the CMMS to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Support physical audits of facilities assets in the field and reconcile findings with system records.
• Assist with reporting, tracking, and documentation related to asset management activities.
• Support the setup, organization, and maintenance of the Facilities Maintenance SharePoint site.
• Assist with organizing digital files, standard templates, procedures, and reference materials.
• Perform basic analysis to identify trends, gaps, or opportunities for improvement within facilities maintenance operations.
• Compile, track, and present data to support decision making and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform other related duties in support of the Facilities Maintenance team as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
• Currently enrolled in a program of study in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering, Management Science, Systems Design Engineering or related discipline at a recognized university in a co-op program.
• General knowledge of municipal government and its relationship with regional, provincial, and federal levels of government is an asset.
• Basic understanding of maintenance systems, maintenance planning, or data analysis is an asset.
• Strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
• Ability to research, analyze information, and compile data into clear formats.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with SharePoint is an asset.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Working Conditions
• Primarily office based environment with regular computer use.
• Some field work, including site inspections and asset audits.
• Light lifting of supplies may be required.
Hourly Rate/Salary: 20.29 - 24.11

Work Location: 950 Burnhamthorpe Rd W
Work Model: This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring employees to be onsite in the office 3 days per week and allowing remote work for the remaining days. Specific in-office days may be set by the team or department to support collaboration and business needs.
