Job Summary

Food Services is looking for a Clerical Temp to join our team! 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with administrative duties which support the catering and events business offered at our locations
  • Assist with inputting and maintaining of the events calendar
  • Accounts payable and reconciliation of event invoices
  • Printing and posting of internal event orders
  • Assist with verification of internal invoices and charge backs
  • Assist with reconciliation of monthly inventory
  • Complete weekly event order updates and distribute to team members and other city departments
  • Prepare cost estimates for event clients
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum grade 12 education
  • Previous experience in an administrative role is considered an asset
  • Ability to work independently with good analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, time management and organizational skills are essential to work in a fast paced environment
  • Emergency First Aid Certificate is required
  • Must be proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Knowledge of CLASS or Silverware  POS are considered an asset
  • Must be able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays and a variety of early morning and late evening shifts
  • Employment offer is conditional upon receipt of a Criminal Records Search that is acceptable to the City of Mississauga

Hourly Rate/Salary: 18.22 - 21.70 
Hours of Work: Up to 24 
Work Location: Civic Centre 
Department/Division/Section: CMS/Community Services Dept , CMS/Recreation Division , South District 
Non-Union/Union: Non Union
