Afternoon Locations (1-4pm):
- Barondale Green Park (200 Barondale Drive)
- Hillside Park (1311 Kelly Road)
- Neebin Park (635 Kaiser Drive)
- Kennedy Park 3505 Golden Orchard Road
All Day Locations (9-12pm; 1-4pm):
- Brickyard Park (3061 Clayhill Road)
- Community Common Park (355 Princess Royal Drive)
- Lisgar Fields (3805 Doug Leavens Boulevard)
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide an inclusive, safe and fun outdoor half day play in the park experience for participants to participate in sports, crafts, games, outdoor fun, and more.
- Staff are required to provide their own transportation between park locations, if working a full day.
- Work as part of a team to support goals and values of the play in the park program through quality instruction, excellent customer service and staff relationships.
- Plan and implement activities and provide instruction to meet the needs of all participants.
- Provide instruction and ensure planning and preparation for all activities, outdoor games, and sports related to the play in the park program are carried out successfully.
- Supervise participants at all times and provide a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 15 years of age by the start of the outdoor play in the park employment session (June 1st, 2025)
- By June 1, 2025 successful candidates must provide (at their own expense): **These are required to work but not to apply!**
- Emergency or Standard First Aid with CPR B or C certification (must be recognized by WSIB) which must remain current during employment period.
- HIGH FIVE ® Principles of Healthy Child Development certification.
- Level 3 - Vulnerable Sector Check to verify the absence of a criminal record for which a pardon has not been granted. This is a condition of employment.
- Enjoy working with children; previous experience is an asset.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
