Asset Management Analyst, Fire

Job Summary

 

Implement and maintain Asset Management practices in accordance with the MFES AM Plan and established best practices in Asset Management for Fleet, Facilities and Inventory. Develop and maintain complex asset registries for all asset types, record, analyse and prepare life cycle reporting data and analysis for budgetary and fire safety purposes.

Administer inventory management processes in SAP for Stores, provide data to optimize inventory levels, reduce waste and increase accountability to ensure consumption levels are validated.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Implementation, on-going maintenance and updating of an Inventory Management Solution
  • Daily entering of inventory receipts, creation of new inventory items and establish inventory record details
  • Assist with the general warehouse activities and attending to in-person clients as required
  • Oversee cyclical and annual inventory audit program
  • Plan and manage asset management practices and strategic replacement planning priorities for all capital assets
  • Maintain and update asset registry for MFES portfolio of assets to ensure timely and accurate records
  • Develop asset audit practices and condition assessment validation to improve data quality
  • Provides on-going and annual data analysis to assist in decision making related to practices, inventory levels, vendors, asset management practices, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide data and analytical recommendations for capital and operating budget forecasting
  • Provide analysis and recommendations on lowering the total cost of ownership for all asset groups
  • Identify opportunities to improve operating efficiencies, cost containment, adopt best practices and improve systems
  • Conduct research and benchmark analysis on the latest practices on asset management, capital planning and inventory management
  • Provides research and prepare reports and presentations on assigned projects and initiatives
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
  • Produces data visualization on a range of different data sources
  • Tracks and maintains major Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Provides guidance and understanding of KPIs and dashboards to support decision making
  • Develop work order management processes to ensure accuracy, accountability and legislative compliance
  • Develop comprehensive maintenance plans focusing on proactive maintenance strategies
  • Monitors key performance indicators and identifies risks for compliance

 

Skills and Qualifications

 

  • Post-secondary graduation in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or Accounting with a minimum 5 years progressive experience in asset/inventory administration/management or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with an enterprise level inventory / asset management program such as SAP, Infor Public Sector, Faster, etc.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook
  • Experience in LEAN principles, Green Belt is preferred
  • Certificate in Asset Management is an asset
  • Must have good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong writing and interpersonal skills required, including the ability to establish effective working relationships and provide quality customer service.
    Must possess a valid Ontario Driver’s Licence

 

Hourly Rate/Salary: $ 96,166.00 - $ 120,207.00
Hours of Work: 40
