Duties and Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of the Coordinator, Customer Service and Administration, support the philosophy and policies/procedures of both the Pool and City of Mississauga.
  • Provide exceptional customer service both in person and over the phone for Pools and City wide services in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Use various forms of communication when interacting with customers on a daily basis
  • Communicate with facility staff to ensure customer’s needs are being met.
  • Selling of pay-as-you-go admissions, concession items and completion of Registrations/Membership sales and scans, stat collection and entry using CLASS/POS System.
  • Processing of registration transfers/withdrawals as required.
  • Complete customer cash and electronic payment transactions accurately.
  • Balancing of float and revenue, printing/reviewing of reports and completing DSR packages as required.
  • Follow and adhere to all Divisional Cash Handling policies and procedures, including building site specific procedures, CLASS business processes/inventory.and all City of Mississauga initiatives including marketing, promotion and Two Way Communication Programs.

Skills and Qualifications

  • The successful candidate should possess good interpersonal and communication skills for working in a multi-tasking customer service environment.
  • Current Emergency First Aid/CPR ‘B’ Certification required.
  • Cash Handling Experience is an asset.
  • Computer experience in Word, Excel and CLASS software.
  • Employment offer is conditional upon receipt of a Criminal Records Search that is acceptable to the City of Mississauga
  • Follow and adhere to all Divisional Cash Handling policies/procedures and CLASS Business Processes.
  • Staff must be available to work flexible hours which include weekdays, weekends, evenings and holidays.

 

Hourly Rate/Salary: $14.49 - $ 15.19 
Hours of Work: up to 12 hours 
Work Location: Cawthra Pool

A Criminal Record Search will be required of the successful candidate, their own expense, to verify the absence of a criminal record for which a pardon has not been granted.
